Job Description

KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the following position:

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Junior Auto Mechanic adjusts and operates equipments used for assembly of cars. He/she moves parts and components by studying mechanical assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, part lists, and work as per ISUZU standard. Assembles or fixes car components by examining connections for correct fit; fastens parts and subassemblies. Requests and keeps components and supplies required. Keeps equipments clean and comply with safety rules and regulations. Performs minor services and repairs on vehicles and equipment in a safe, efficient and economical manner; and keep ISUZU auto service quality standards at all times.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Moves parts and components by studying mechanical assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials; and work as per the standard of ISUZU.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles or fixes components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifies supervisor the same.
  • Keeps equipments operational by testing and following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Keeps required supplies; places and expediting orders for replenishment of supplies.
  • Performs auto services and repairs on vehicles and equipment as per job card utilizing the necessary tools, equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient manner within the ISUZU standards.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

  • Ensure optimal and continuous operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering equipment and adjusting levels as necessary
  • Maintain systems by scheduling regular inspections, cleanings, filter replacement and all other tasks necessary to keep all components performing optimally; identify and repair or replace malfunctioning components
  • Ensure safety by monitoring safety equipment, identifying potential issues and taking appropriate steps to suspend operations and repair the problem

  • Deliver products to various units in safely and timely manner.
  • Sort, pack, wrap, tie and label products as per company procedures.

  • Report to supervisor / section head for day to day activities.
  • Proper co-ordination with saponification operator, Plodder/ Cutter Operator and Online Quality Inspector to ensure right quality product.
  • Ensure all the process parameter and CCP with-in the permissible limits.
  • Must maintain the log book with all necessary process data with standard format.
  • Ensure equipment / machine preventive maintenance and GHK of respective area.
  • Adopt 5-S and Kaizen (Continues Improvements).
  • To maintain the log book with required information i.e. Hourly production, Breakdown details (OEE Calculation).
  • Delicately follow the SOP’s to Start-Up and Shut Down of machine.
  • Overall control on the machineries & manpower to ensure the optimum quantity & quality output.
  • Ensure that Wrapper inkjet Printer and Carton Printers are well maintain and consumable are available as per production target.
  • Ensure that batch number, date and time are well printed on wrapper at designated place.

Transform: PHC will operate in the four most populous rural regions of Ethiopia (Amhara, Oromia, Tigray and Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Region). This will be accomplished in part by: mitigating the drivers of child and maternal mortality in Ethiopia’s most populous regions through the facilitation and implementation of quality health service delivery; improved management and performance of health systems; and implementation of innovative and evidence-based social behavioral change and communication interventions. Transform: PHC will strengthen the capacity of the health system to effectively use management tools and implement best practices at all levels of the health system and health care delivery with a major focus at the primary care level that include primary hospitals and PHCU.

Position Purpose

Under the guidance and close supervision and technical support of the Renovation Adviser, the Regional Site Engineer is principally responsible for follow up of timely execution of renovation activities in the region.

Key Responsibilities

·       Conduct the site assessment work at design stage.

·       Participate in preparation and review of design documents.

·       Conduct work inspection as per the specification and design drawings and perform the Quality Assurance inspection for each section of work before the contractor proceeds to the next activity.

·       Ensures that the contractor’s materials and installation methods are submitted as per the specification and got approval.

·       Ensures that quality of workmanship is as per the specification and all prevailing technical guidelines.

·       Confirms contractor’s quality test methods and procedures are as per the specification and design drawings.

·       Inspects contractor’s material fabrication process in workshops and on site and ensures delivery of only approved materials before installation.

·       Follow the construction progress, identify any delays and propose possible solutions at early stages.

·       Ensures the contractors adherence to health and safety requirements.
