Internship – Coffee Value Chain at Fintrac Inc

Job Description

The Feed the Future Ethiopia-Value Chain Activity (FTFE-VCA) is a five-year activity (January 2017-December 2021) that aims to benefit smallholder farmers through improved production, marketing, and enabling environment for the maize, chickpea, coffee, live animals/meat, and dairy value chains. Feed the Future Ethiopia Value Chain Activity supports value chain development of the commodities focusing on enhancing private sector investment and addressing critical market failures limiting the development of the selected value chains.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the overall supervision and guidance of the National coordinator, the intern provides administrative backup general support to the COE organizing team , the assignment will include:

  • Compose general correspondence and prepares documents such as emails and memos
  • Coordinate trainings and schedule meetings
  • Clerical support such as filing, scanning and copying documents
  • Collects, compiles and analyzes data and provides summaries and observations
  • Assists with key reporting and presentations using the appropriate software
  • Coordinates calendars; scheduling meetings, hotel reservations, travel arrangements
  • Conceptualize, edit, update, and maintain event-specific emails, and other event materials

Job Requirements

  • Individuals with University degree– BA, BSc in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management Studies, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of standard office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Creative open-minded team player with strong initiative and willingness to learn; §
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural working environment
